Mandatory Insurance Coverage
The State of Massachusetts does not participate in the SR-22 process. However, if you are a resident of the State of Massachusetts and have encountered problems with a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in another state, you may be able to obtain a NON-OWNER SR22 policy through Wessell Insurance, if you have a secondary residence in that state, and reside eight months out of the year.
This SR-22 High-Risk auto insurance policy will satisfy the requirements of the State in which the violation occurred. It will also satisfy the State of Massachusetts DMV since the suspension in the other state will be lifted. If you do own a vehicle, then you need to find a company that is capable of insuring your vehicle in the state of Massachusetts, and do a filing in the state that requires an SR22. We do not do business in the state of Massachusetts.
