Massachusetts SR-22 High Risk Auto Insurance Financial Responsibility Information
Mandatory Insurance Coverage
The State of Massachusetts does not participate in the SR-22 process. However, if you are a resident of the State of Massachusetts and have encountered problems with a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in another state, you can still file for a NON-OWNER policy through Wessell Insurance.
This SR-22 High-Risk auto insurance policy will satisfy the requirements of the State in which the violation occurred. It will also satisfy the State of Massachusetts DMV since the suspension in the other state will be lifted. It will then allow you to maintain the current insurance policy that you have in effect on your vehicles. In this circumstance, however, you will temporarily need to hold two policies for the duration of your SR-22 insurance requirement. Since the need for SR-22 High-risk auto insurance is of short duration, it is prudent to obtain an SR-22 policy to satisfy your financial responsibility obligation and yet be discreet enough when it comes to the issue of any policies held in the State of Massachusetts.
